Within the community, the Marist Brothers create a sense of family. That carries over into the schools and other work environments where Marists are present. But how do you help others develop a similar sense of community? That's what the Brothers set out to answer in their program, "Sharing Our Call," which introduces teachers and administrators to St. Marcellin Champagnat and Marist heritage. In a follow-up program called "Embracing Our Call," teachers and administrators explore the role that Marist spirituality plays in the life of Marist Educators. A third program, "Sharing Our Mission" has two components: one for members of campus ministry and religion departments and one for coaches and athletic directors. The goal of all our adult formation programs is to insure that a Marist vision and pedagogy is present in every aspect of a Marist school.
For students, we provide a wide variety of retreat, leadership development and spiritual development programs.
The Marist Brothers also make a wide variety of retreat, leadership development and spiritual growth programs available to students in Marist schools. Taking students out of the school environment, they seek to nurture leadership skills, help them build a solid foundation and experience of God and encourage them to network and develop their own programs when they go back to their individual schools.
All of these programs go under the label of evangelization. It's a gift the Marist Brothers offer to help participants better understand their call to the Christian vocation and to live a more fulfilling life.
