Christopher Columbus High School Celebrates 60th Anniversary Mass
This is an exciting time for the students, staff, and alumni of Christopher Columbus High School! 2019 marks the schools 60th Anniversary Year and the 20th anniversary of the Canonization of St. Marcellin Champagnat. The school held a celebratory Mass on Wednesday March 20th to mark the important events.
Mass was celebrated by Fr. Alejandro Rodriguez Artola (Class of 1981, Main Celebrant, Pastor at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Miami), Fr. Miguel González, Class of 1986 (Concelebrant and Homilist, Rector at St. James Cathedral, Orlando), Fr. Mark Reeves (Concelebrant, Archdiocese of Miami, CCHS morning daily Mass and other liturgies), Deacon Steven Lee, Class of 1981 (Attorney), and Deacon James Dugard, Columbus Theology Teacher.
Br. Dan O'Riordan, Vice Provincial of the USA Marist Brothers Province, spoke at the end of Mass and encouraged students to go forward and make positive changes in the Christopher Columbus community and greater Marist world.
