Br. Donald Bisson entered the Marist Postulancy in 1967 and the Marist Brothers Novitiate in 1968. He professed his first vows on July 26, 1969. After completing a BA in Religious Studies at Loyola University in Chicago, he began his teaching career at Marist High School in Chicago.  He also served as a teacher at Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, MA (1973-77), St. Agnes High School in NY, NY (1978-79), Malden Catholic (1980-81), Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie, NY (1981-82) and at St. Elizabeth High School in Oakland, CA (1982-93). 

During his Apostolic career, he also served as Novice Director (1977-78, 1979-80 and 1997-2000), as a staff member at Mercy Retreat Center, Burlingame, CA (1993-95) as well as his current ministry as a long time Spiritual Director and Retreat Master.

He earned an MAinLiturgyfrom Notre Dame University in 1977, an MCS in Spirituality from Creighton University in 1982, a certificate in Pastoral Ministry from University of San Francisco in 1985, a Doctorate in Spiritual Direction in 1991 and an MA in Psychology/Applied Psychology in 1993.  He professed his Final Vows in 1974.
