Hudson County Community College and Marist High School Partnership
Dual-enrollment/dual-credit collaboration coming to Marist High School
Hudson County Community College (HCCC) has partnered with Marist High School in Bayonne, NJ to provide qualified students with the opportunity to earn an Associate's Degree while simultaneously earning their high school diploma.
Alice Miesnik, Head of School at Marist High School, said, "This partnership brings totally new meaning to our old mantra: 'Go to Marist . . . Go to College.' We can officially say: “Go to College Now!” This partnership will assuredly save our families from growing college costs, especially since College NOW will be offered all for the price of a Marist tuition. This is a win-win for families, students, Marist, and HCCC. I feel privileged to be a part of this exciting moment in Marist's history."
Students will be able to choose from three meta-majors: Science and Math, Liberal Arts, and Business. Qualifying students can take college credit classes as early as freshman year, starting Fall 2018.
HCCC and Marist have had a long-standing relationship through Project LEAP, offering dual credit courses for several years. Now, they look to develop and strengthen their relationship through this dual enrollment partnership.
