Marist Young Adults Gathered in Esopus to Celebrate the Bicentennial
Matt Fallon and the MBCE staff hosted a 200th Anniversary celebration on Monday, January 2nd in Esopus for the Marist Young Adult Community. About 30 people gathered for Mass at 5 PM, followed by dinner in the dining hall. The delicious meal of chicken, penne pasta and salad was supplied by Mrs. Pat Fallon, Matt’s mom and owner of the Ivy League restaurant in Howell, New Jersey. The highlight of the night, however, was the laser tag course which was set up in the gym. Armed with laser guns, the YAs hid behind tarps, tents, and parachutes in the dimly lit gymnasium. Teams were re-organized after each game, with everyone petering out after 90 minutes of play. Snacks and singing around the fireplace in the rec room closed out the night.
