The General House in Rome proposes using the hashtag “#MillionMarists” across social media platforms to spread word of Bicentenary celebrations. We intend to get one million mentions, showing how the dream of Marcellin Champagnat, which began with two youths in the small house of La Valla, has now become a large family made up of many people, including brothers and lay people.

We, as a Marist World, are aspiring to become a “trending” topic on social networks, especially during the three most important dates of the Bicentennial year: January 2nd, June 6th, and September 8th.

We can spread this call through fraternities, in schools, and in all areas of the Marist Mission. The General House asks for the support of Administrative Units and communications teams throughout the Marist World to help spread this initiative.
