At the canonization of St. Marcellin Champagnat in 1999, Pope John Paul ll
reminded the Marist Brothers that the Marist charism – the Marist way of being Christian – was
not just for the Marist Brothers. The Marist charism was meant to be shared with others by all those
who embrace the Marist values of simplicity, presence, family spirit,
and love of work all done in the way of Mary.
The Marist Brothers in the United States offer a number of educational opportunities
to share this charism. There are programs for:
- Marist Youth (High School Students)
- Marist Young Adults (College Age)
- Adults (School Personnel and Marist Lay people)
