In celebration of the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Marist Brothers, Central Catholic High School will join with Marist schools around the country in the #MaristDayOfService on March 29, 2017! Service to the least favored is at the core of the mission of Marist schools, so the entire student body at Central Catholic will be participating in various capacities.
In weeks leading up to the Day of Service, students will begin collecting supplies for various local organizations. These organizations serve the needs of their community in Lawrence, MA. by providing basic necessities to the least favored. Some of the organizations receiving these items will be the Cor Unum Meal Center, Pregnancy Care Center, Lawrence Catholic Academy, Bread and Roses, Lazarus House, Bellesini Academy, Saint Vincent DePaul, and the Daybreaks Shelter.
Each year level will be responsible to collect for a specific category of items, and the entire sophomore class will spend Wednesday, March 29th assembling care packages for each organization. A team of students from 11th and 12th grades will work to coordinate the day and participate in delivery of the care packages.
Central Catholic High School is excited to live out their faith and serve the needs of their community along with fellow Marist schools!
