Saint Joseph Academy is proud to announce that the school will enter into a formal partnership with The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) to bring a dual enrollment program to the SJA campus beginning in the 2020-2021 school year.
This unique partnership will bring UTRGV faculty to SJA’s campus to deliver instruction, allowing qualifying 11th and 12th grade students to begin their college journey and gain an edge, all while enjoying the privileges of the SJA experience. Along with SJA’s already existing dual enrollment relationship with Texas Southmost College (TSC), our students can now earn up to 35 college credits through the SJA’s dual enrollment partnerships—at no additional cost to families!
The partnership was made official with a ceremonial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing with UTRGV officials on Wednesday, January 15th at SJA’s Cantu Administration Building.
“This is an exciting moment for Saint Joseph Academy. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to expand our early-college offerings and provide our students with the unique experience to be taught by university faculty in the comfort of our very own campus, where they can enjoy the full range of extra-curricular activities and a Marist, Catholic education” says Michael Motyl, President of SJA.
